Creative Writing Posters

These posters show a few new ways to get students to enjoy creative writing.  The students are able to take what they can from the mentor texts in order to get ideas for their own creative writing.  The students are able to listen and build on the author's techniques to create their own.  The posters also give a few other tips to try in your classroom to get students more interested in creative writing.  Some of the tips include designating a specific time each day for students to freely write and creating cozy corners for the students to utilize during writing times.
